Ball position is very important if we want to have consistent results, for several reasons:
• First, it will help in alignment of the putter face at address and improving direction control at impact.
• Second, it will help in presenting the same face loft and swing-path rise angle to the ball at impact, improving distance control.
• Third, if slight changes have to be made to impact conditions we will have a base line from which to work to make the corrections and recalibrate.
