This year has been very challenging for everyone around the world, both physically and mentally.

When our mind seems to be in a ‘higgledy-piggledy’ state due to the avalanche of nonsense and hypocrisy which surrounds us and the concomitant belief that the exponential advances in technology and cultural changes — all of which is self-perpetuating – are considered to be progress, we inevitably find ourselves crying out for a life-ring of stability.  We need some form of constancy in our lives which will allow us to recalibrate to a known base line of truth and reality.

Yes, golf is that constant around which we need to orbit and is one of the few activities which will allow us to find true peace as it is the essence of purity. It is simply what it is and defined as the best form of self-evaluation available to us while enjoyably conducting this process in the company of like-minded people. It is addictive in nature as it satisfies the very personal and addictive sense of satisfaction we subconsciously crave.

Yes, to our own-selves, we can be true and golf provides the means. We have always considered golf to be a therapeutic activity and it certainly has been proven to be the case in 2020.

This Christmas and holiday season, give thanks for this wonderful game, may it forever be.
