So, over the summer I have been lucky enough to play golf in Scotland. It has been incredibly therapeutic and I have made lots of new friends. I have played so much golf that the electric trolley I bought to transport my clubs around the various courses was literally begging for a vacation.
As the cold and darkness of winter has now arrived (and I wonder why I am still here and not in the Florida sunshine!), I have discovered the true warmth of my Frog Beanie, and with an ample supply of handwarmers have been snatching 9 holes of golf here and there. I have only been taking 3 clubs and a Frog with me, because that’s all I need. It’s fast, it’s fun and it actually helps push your game because you are forced to be creative with the clubs you have. Plus it’s easy to walk quickly and carry your bag. Frank and I loved to go out at the end of the day for 9 holes, it was one of our favorite things to do.
I think more golf facilities should create a nine hole option for golfers, even just at certain times of the day, or the year, to encourage people to come out and play.

P.S. Thanks to everyone who took advantage of the BlackFrog Day Special! Check in daily for our Holiday Specials. Golf is just more fun with a Frog.
A great idea Valerie. At this time of the year, there aren’t as many golfers on the course in the afternoon and having a special 9 hole rate beginning about 4 hours before sunset would bring in more revenue and allow players to easily get 9 holes in.
I’ve gone out around 1 pm and gotten 9 holes in easily with little traffic from other golfers.
Our course has been really wet recently and cart path only. Often I walk carrying a Sunday bag for 9 holes with 5 clubs including my putter. 4 wood, 6 & 9 Iron and 54° wedge.
which 3 clubs did you take? Wasit always the same 3?
Hi Nigel, a hybrid, 7 iron and 9 iron for the course I played most regularly but would change them if I was playing another course. Thanks for the question!
