I hope some of the statistics maniacs in the golf world start tracking the in/out differences. For my part, I leave it in. When playing alone, I always left it in. My guess is that the flagstick has an effect on less than 1% of putts; it’s most likely to be helpful on a chip that hits it squarely more than any closer putt. Let’s see what the next six months teaches us.
The sound of a putt hitting the pin and falling into the hole is also enjoyable to hear!
