In your discussion on sharp grooves, I heard no discussion of the rules of golf pertaining to groove spacing and using one of these so called groove sharpeners which will result in widening the groove. My understanding of the rules is that if a club was initially conforming, it remains conforming through normal wear and tear due to usage. However, applying one of these sharpeners is not normal wear and tear and will result in a non-conforming club. What say you on this?
